FAQs
Services
What are your services like?
They are probably a good deal like the ones you have seen before. We sing songs of praise to God, we pray together, we hear a message from the word of God, we have the opportunity to give financially to the church’s work as we’ve been blessed, and we take part in the Lord’s Supper. In addition to worshipping God, we also believe that our time of assembling together should also be a time to provide encouragement and support for each other. That’s why before and after we meet you will see people visiting with each other and greeting and welcoming you.
What do I need to wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable wearing. We have some people dress up in suit and tie while others come in t-shirt and jeans.
How often do you take the Lord’s Supper?
We take the Lord’s Supper every Sunday just as the early Church did. We don’t do this just to do it or solely because we are trying to follow some command, but rather we take advantage of it as a weekly reminder of Christ’s sacrifice for our sake that we might constantly refuel our spiritual lives for the week to come.
Do you always sing a cappella?
Yes. It is our tradition here to sing without the use of instruments because that is the way we see the early Church singing. We hope this doesn’t throw you off if you are used to anything different. It is the words of praise that are important, so we hope you will have the opportunity to put your heart into the a cappella songs we sing.
Facilities
Are your facilities wheelchair accessible?
Our entire complex is one story with the exception of our baptistry. There are also handicap restrooms available.
Other FAQs
What do you have for children?
We have Bible classes on Sunday morning and Wednesday night for elementary and intermediate age children. We also have Children's Church during our Sunday morning worship where children can learn from God's word in an age appropriate and engaging way.
What’s involved in becoming a member here?
Any follower of Jesus is welcome to attend any of our services. We hope you will be blessed by them.
We also ask that you let us know if you would like to formally place membership so we know to expect you regularly, can add you to our directory, give you access to our member’s area on the website, and other things such as that.
We ask you to keep in mind in all this, however, that we as people do not truly add anyone to the Church. Only God can do that. Make it your aim therefore, not just to be one of us but rather to be conformed to God’s requirements for membership.
